James Bond! No Time to Die is coming! Isn't it weird that Bond films never have his name in the title? Like, have you ever missed a Bond film because you didn't realize it was a Bond film? And when people go looking for Bond films on NOburn, do you think they type "James Bond Movie?" Do you think that I probably think that which is why I've typed Bond 7 times now? Casino Royale! Some loved it, some hated it. Also don't you feel like there already is a Bond movie called No Time to Die? Here's everything right with Casino Royale either way!

Le Chiffre’s girlfriend is very committed. Almost had her arm chopped off, Le Chiffre didn’t say a word, and she was still willing to poison Bond for him. I’m guessing that’s the case, based on that smile she gave at the bar. If I was her, I’d be so pissed, I’d probably do Mr. White’s job for him.
Also, interesting character arc, but I’m wondering why ladies’ man James Bond needed to tragically lose his love interest just to learn that lesson about his ego. To humble him? She left that romantic scar on him, so why would he fall for any other woman?

Loved Casino Royale and the developingdoomed love story between Vesper and Bond...look at them holding hands when Mr. MENDEL comes to the rehab center with the briefcase,or the shower scene...I will miss Daniel Craig as Bond...but he is a very talented actor. ..and will do well post/ Bond..I I think he was nominated for a 2019 Oscar for Knives Wide Open??...see him in Road to Perdition, one of the Lara Croft movies with Angelina. Jolie.....lots of chemistry there...and he was very funny hosting SNL....I would love to see him in a movie with Eva Green..romantic of course!🥰

9:00, more interestingly, there are at least 3 or 4 instances where James is pushed into an altercation/chase sequence because a bad guy manages to notice him, but the chase in Madagascar wasn’t his fault for initiating, but that rookie Carter’s for being conspicuous, which forced James to improvise in his attempts to capture him, but inevitably kill him in order to cleanly escape that embassy. All those other times were more or less on account of him personally making a mistake or the bad guy being more competent than Bond anticipated, such as the bombmaker catching a reflection of Bond staring at him or the Ugandans catching a glimpse of his earpiece because he didn’t think to have the other side of his head facing them so they wouldn’t see it.

I actually like the idea that a 00 agent requires 2 confirmed kills on record before they are given the status. As for the "License to Kill" I figured that just means he does not have to seek approval from parliament to execute a target, basically a way to clear up red tape.

Not sure we can make anything of that, though, unless maaaaaaaaybe it symbolizes Bond having just cheated death.

So this is an old video, but I'm still gonna comment on this. While Sebastien definitely helped popularize freerunning, the original practice of Parkour is generally credited to David Belle, who's movie roles are equally as impressive. Still, thanks for giving us freerunners a shoutout!

When Bond kneels down to tie his shoelaces, I actually prefer to think it's him deliberately looking and acting the part of a valet to score an expensive car. There's even a moment beforehand where he adjusts his shirt and tie a little, which might imply adjusting his guise, but it's never directly stated.
But the fact that Bond EITHER did that or your version is actually a really good theme of this theme: what is going on in Bond's head is constantly in question, and that drives most of the film's drama!

I love that throughout the movie, there's this very Bond-esque score, but never the main theme, which only comes in at the very end once Bond has solidified his identity. I like the idea that the score sort of has all the raw components of the Bond theme, and they just have to come together.

What I love about the intro sequence to Casino Royale is that it sets up everything we need to know about this Bond. Specifically his biggest weakness: his ego and self-assuredness.
He could have just killed this guy at any time. But he wanted to play this game. To have this conversation. To leave him an empty gun. And there were *so many* ways that it could have gone wrong; the guy could have had a gun on him. But Bond was absolutely certain that he had all of the angles covered.
Which is what brings him down in the end: he believes he has all the angles covered when he has been hanging around and flirting with (and falling for) a spy for half the movie.

The scene where he and Vesper are shot at 8n the hotel while kissing never made sense to me. Obviously he saw the ear piece and knew bond was an agent. But how the hell could he know it wasn’t a hearing aid? Is the henchman just being sure and not risking it? Are there a string of murders in an African country where the victims are all hard of hearing?

I'm not totally a fan of Craig's bond, he had some issues and clearly disliked the role later on. His best film was almost definitely Spectre or Skyfall in the series... but God damn does that "Do I look like I give a damn?" line get me. That's probably his best one ever, and totally flips the trope.
